About Us
Cheryl founded North Lake Physical Therapy in 1987 following a fifteen year successful career in academic and clinical physical therapy. Cheryl's practice continued to expand and in 1993 Michael Choate joined the practice and two years later they were joined by Steven Pierson.
Our professional staff includes eleven licensed physical therapists, one licensed occupational therapists, one certified athletic trainer and dedicated patient care coordinators. We provide treatment to several professional sports teams in the Portland area as well as work closely with several of the local high schools and their students.

Our clinic is nationally recognized. At the requests of Duke University, University of Colorado, Chapman University, Regis University and the University of North Dakota, we participate in educating their physical therapy interns.
North Lake Physical Therapy has proudly maintained its independent status over the years. As a therapist-owned practice, our obligation is solely to our patients. Therefore, we can treat patients to the best obtainable outcome rather than to an externally imposed time limit. We are unencumbered by imposed quotas or protocols.
Our patient care program includes evaluation by licensed therapists. Our treatment includes individually tailored programs and aggressive patient education. We work with our patients to create an understanding of their problems and the recognition that the best treatment plan rarely stopes with the final clinic visit.
